should xVal validate .Net DataType tightly?

hi everyone,

heres the situation. Im using DataAnnotations + jQuery validate and in my model, i have a property of type Double. I didnt put any validation on it. xVal generate a validation in my form telling that the field for this property should be Decimal. Everything is great but the Decimal validation is wrong. It will accept this kind of values: "2,222.22".

My opinion is that xVal jQuery plugin should be tight with .Net Types and only accept these kind of numbers: "111.11", "222,22", "-333,33"

if people wants more, they might use the RegEx attribute

any opinions?
